DETAILS: Made up of the biceps femoris, semitendinosus, and semimembranosus the hamstring muscles are incredible important muscles for walking, running, jumping etc.

FUNCTION: Flexion of the knee and extension of the hip. Additionally they are antagonists of the quadriceps muscles in the action of deceleration of knee extension
