Rectus Abdominus

DETAILS: Known as your “six pack” muscles, the rectus abdominus is on the outermost layer of the abdomin, running from the rib cage all the way down to pubic bone.

FUNCTION: Flexion of the trunk (flexion of the thoracic and lumbar spine) and posterior pelvic tilt
